Diminished Value in Maine
Maine currently has no law addressing diminished value claims. However, the Supreme Judicial Court has ruled that diminished value is not included in a repair payment by an insurance company. The state will let you file a claim for up to six years after your accident, which is generous compared to most states. You also must have car insurance.
